HSBC is once again on top of all Hang Seng Index (HSI) constituent companies on sustainability in the survey commissioned by Oxfam Hong Kong and conducted by CSR Asia.
The assessment was undertaken since 2009, with comprehensive methodology covering six areas including CSR Strategy and Reporting, Stakeholder Engagement, Workplace, Environment Performance, Supply Chain, and Community Investment.
The score for HSBC is 80% which well exceeded the competitors in the sector. For the 2009 survey, 31 companies, or 74 percent of the Hang Seng Index (HSI) constituent companies responded as compared to 37 percent in 2008.
